Our Mission

Journey To Joy Ministries exists to bring healing and wholeness to anyone wounded, abused or struggling with life controlling issues through biblical principles, prayer ministry and the working of the Holy Spirit.

Journey To Joy Ministries is not a “counseling” organization.

Our Journey

We are looking forward to fresh developments and gaining new ground for the Kingdom of God in the year that is set before us. One thing is certain; with each passing day the need to serve the broken and wounded grows greater. We are blessed beyond measure to hold the keys of healing in our hands. Malachi 4:2 declares, “The Sun of righteousness will arise with healing in His wings.” Isaiah proclaims the power of Christ’s healing to those we serve:

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.” Isaiah 61:1:

Our Founder and Director, Joannie Smith-Schade, had conducted 555 prayer and healing sessions by the conclusion of 2013. We are now in 2021! there were more than 1400 prayer ministry sessions in 2020. We are continuing to offer classes to encourage maturity, healing, and wholeness.  Presently Joannie is in the process of training several interns as prayer ministers to share in the rich bounty of healing and deliverance that has been entrusted to us. We have found that as the need grows greater our vision unfolds in a timely fashion. It is with joy that we can say that after many years we have purchased a residential home for those women who need a live in place of healing, “Destination Joy” Home of Ministry.
